Birth Tissue Recovery is a placenta donation program in Winston-Salem, NC, accredited by the AABT.Birth Tissue Recovery (BTR) is leading the nation in the development of birth tissue and placenta donation programs. We are one of the first national programs to pioneer seamless and safe donor and hospital integration.

The American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) has approved Birth Tissue Recovery, LLC for accreditation. This accreditation renewal indicates the company has met AATB’s requirements for donor eligibility assessment; informed consent; acquisition; packaging; storage, and processing. The accreditation inspection process and subsequent accreditation by the Association is an important accomplishment and recognizes BTR’s commitment to ethics, safety, and compliance.

AATB’s mission is to improve and save lives by promoting the safety, quality, and availability of donated human tissue. AATB accreditation ensures compliance with this goal by checking that tissue-banking activities are being performed in an ethical and professional manner consistent with its Standards.
